in continuation to ‘Sunflower’ from Sierra Burgess is a loser…. 🌻
Sunflower is a loyal species
a little bright, a little faded
moving in sync with it’s mighty sun.
Those bees that keep on humming
teasing me coz I keep on waiting
they clearly don’t know what is faith.
Stretching toward the sky like I don’t care
wishing you could see me standing there.
But I’m a sunflower, a little funny
if I were a rose, may be you’d want me.
You are the bright sun in my little sky
I admire you everyday as you rise.
But I’m a sunflower, a little funny
if I were a rose, may be you’d pick me.
But I know you don’t have a clue
this sunflower’s waiting for you.

I myself never liked roses as much as I liked the tulips. That may be the reason this song caught my attention easily but there is indeed much more to this song. Simple, sweet yet too deep in meaning; this song doesn’t take time to come to the top of your playlist. I tried to add up to the lyrics of the original song. Hope you all like it.
