Don’t meet me at the horizon.
It’s too far.
Instead, walk into my life tip-toeing
and meet me somewhere under a banyan tree; talking to the wind, playing with the grass and humming your favorite song.
I promise to sing along the same melody
until it resides within us
like the blood in the arteries.

every drop of rain on my body
causes thunders in my heart
and as I stop the teardrops from falling
I fill my diary with poetic scars.
Paint my sky red
for I am fed up with the blues!
Growing up ain’t easy!
I guess I will never know again
how it feels to live
without the burden of those
thousand bricks on my chest.

Be on your own,
ask someone else for nothing.
For when you get you complain;
when you do it yourself,
there is no one else to be blamed.

Fantasist is 200 posts old and I haven’t formally introduced myself till today. So here we go.🏃♀️[Long post alert⚠️]
Behind Fantasist is Shweta Tale, a girl who believes in the power of dreams and aspirations. I am a software engineer by profession and a poetess by passion.
I am often asked how do I find time for writing 📝 or painting🎨. The answer is quite simple. If you are really passionate about some thing, you will make every possible attempt to find time for it 🤹♀️ because that brings you happiness, content, peace 🕊️. When I discovered my passion for writing, I reduced the amount of time spent on unproductive things 📺; I began to plan out my day 🗒️. I do not post frequently because I do not want my content to be some irrelevant words presented before you. I would rather want it to be few lines that make you resonate with them. All my work that you read, like and share is the result of hours of brainstorming, minute observations, serious experiments, acute learning, days of practice, and many failed attempts. 🙅
Sometimes it makes me feel bad that we still live in an era where art is struggling to find respect 🎭. I get appreciated less and criticised more for being an artist and I know others out there are going through the same. But I have those who have been with me right from the start and those who have joined me recently for another good march and I am here because of you all. 😇
Few years back I never thought I would be able to share my work or be liked for it. Today, here I am writing to you in this 200th post. ☺️ I have come a long way and I still have miles to go. It is all possible because of the support I have gained from you all and I will forever be grateful for it. Taking one step at a time towards a dream of publishing another book before you, this is me, Fantasist, signing off for the day.✌️ Thank you again. 💜💜

Have you ever thought why you are wounded? Is it because the world hurt you? Or is it because you let the world hurt you? It’s often the second case, isn’t it? No matter how good you behave, how carefully you act, how strongly you trust, how loudly you laugh, how madly you love and how badly you beg for them to spare you; remember the world’s gonna hurt you. You will be the victim because you expect the things to go as per your plan, you expect people to love you the way you want them to, you expect the road to your destiny to be smooth, you expect the people to not break your trust, you expect to be forgiven for your mistakes. Things don’t work that way you see. You need to stop expecting and the mad world won’t be mad at you anymore.
People change more frequently than the seasons do and still we blame the sun for the heat.
If you keep feeding your soul with rotten fruits, don’t expect your bones to be strong enough for a climb.
